I have been a fancier of Chenin Blancs since my first wine tasting years ago. It was a fundraiser, and whatever chenin blanc they had was popping off my taste buds. So, while having lunch with another wine buddy a couple years back at Jack's Firehouse in Philadelphia, there was a reason to try this new wine on the menu.

Tasting this blend was a very exciting experience. I must admit that my mother is the pear nut, not me, but if you could mix what would seem to be the taste of Honeydew melons, possibly Cantaloupe, and Bosc pears in one drink, this was it.

I highly recommend this wine, which reminds me, I need to put a ratings system on this site.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
